Injectables Mentorship

This training course is designed for Nurses and Medical Doctors, and provides a comprehensive mentorship with a combination of theoretical and practical hands-on training where students will have the opportunity, under the guidance of Dr. Taylor and Nurse Michelle Mag-iba, to conduct injections of neuromodulators and dermal fillers on live models. This program will help to build student confidence so that they become competent and safe injectors. This mentorship is ideally done after a basic fundamental course in medical aesthetics.

Learn current knowledge-based best practices in non-surgical medical aesthetic techniques.

Learn to safely and competently perform neuromodulators and dermal filler injections under the direct supervision of Dr. Pamela Taylor and Nurse Michelle Mag-iba.

Review the standards of care under the governing college of the health care practitioners, to ensure that practitioners do not exceed the scope of their training.

Understanding the rules and guidelines for delegation.

Develop the ability to recognize potential contraindications and complications of each treatment method and how to deal with adverse patient outcomes.

Understanding of G-prime, cross-linking and g-linking molecular components of each type of dermal filler. Understand where on the face they should be used, and best application techniques.

Complete a thorough review of facial anatomy, including vessels, muscles and tissues of face.

Understand the different types of equipment used in medical aesthetics for neuromodulators and dermal filler treatments

Understand when and where to apply different techniques for cosmetic injectables (neuromodulators and dermal fillers).

Learn safe and effective dermal filler injection techniques and injection methods.

BOTOX Curriculum

  • Review of facial anatomy relevant to neuromodulators
  • Introduction to neuromodulators
  • Treatment of lip lines, forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet, bunny lines, glabellar region, marionette lines, gummy smile and platysmal bands
  • Review risks associated with neuromodulators, contraindications and what to do should problems arise.
